At Saifi Village, Müün bets on Japanese gastronomy

In a capital where new restaurant openings continue to defy recurring crises, a new addition opened in Saifi Village at the end of June. Named Müün, the contemporary Japanese bistro is the latest venture by 34-year-old chef and entrepreneur Tarek Alameddine.

After Buco, which first opened in Saifi before expanding to Batroun, and Beihouse, ranked the fifth-best restaurant in the Middle East and North Africa by Middle East & North Africa's 50 Best Restaurants, Müün is the fourth establishment launched by R2 Management, the hospitality group founded by siblings Tarek and Reem Alameddine.
