A week ago, the Lebanese-Australian pastry chef made a whirlwind stop at Harrods in London to present his range of chocolates under the “Khoury’s” label.

A year ago, when Philip Khoury spoke to L’Orient-Le Jour in Beirut, the Lebanese-Australian pastry chef had just left his role as Head Pastry Chef at Harrods after six years to pursue his own passion project. On July 15 of this year, he walked back through the same opulent doors of the London department store bearing the fruits of a year’s labor. This time he returned to his previous employer as the founder of Khoury's, his very own chocolate brand, which has opened a pop-up in Harrods' legendary Chocolate Hall, the realization of a dream for the young chef. For this summer installation, a shiny red London post box sits proudly at the entrance of the grand hall, greeting streams of sweet-toothed shoppers.
