After four months of closure and nearly $150,000 in renovations, the establishment has reopened on Avenue de l’Indépendance in Sassine. The venue, launched by Merhej Merhej and known since 2019 for its selection of cheeses, charcuterie and wines, is starting a new chapter. What began as a gourmet grocery with a few outdoor tables is now fully a restaurant-bar.“Customers wanted to enjoy simple dishes, always made with excellent ingredients,” Merhej said. “With all the crises facing the country, imported products have become very expensive. Transportation costs increased, as did taxes and VAT.
