Since December 2024, a new Café des Lettres has been operating on the campus of the French Embassy in Beirut. Originally established in the mid-1990s as a social space within the embassy, the café was recently relaunched under the management of Maurice Sursock and his company, Food and Design, which won a bid for the project in late 2023."I secured a contract for six years, until 2030," said Sursock.The new Café des Lettres offers a customized experience, both in concept and design, specifically tailored for the embassy.
