Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad Éléonore Caroit is behind a rather unusual diplomatic initiative: to visit Lebanon with her British and Qatari counterparts on an official mission to jointly assess, with the Lebanese authorities, the needs of a country at war. Those needs range from humanitarian assistance and accommodating students whose schools have been damaged, protecting heritage sites and supporting reconstruction efforts.
