Many deposit restitution plans proposed by the government, banks, or deputies were blocked in banks and have failed since the beginning of the 2019 crisis. Now, a new plan is emerging in Baabda.As L'Orient-Le Jour revealed on March 6, the president of the State Council, Judge Fadi Elias, has been tasked by President Joseph Aoun to develop a bill in consultation with presidential advisers. Once finalized, this text should then be sent to Parliament after discussion in the Cabinet, or for debate, as a bill proposal presented by 10 deputies.
