Lebanon’s Cabinet on Oct. 8 approved the terms of reference for a public tender to inventory telecommunications assets in the public sector and assess the value of some of them.The contract covers two separate tasks: inventorying and valuing the assets of the Telecommunications Ministry and state-owned operator Ogero, and conducting a physical inventory of the assets of the two state-owned mobile operators, MIC1 and MIC2.The exercise is intended to prepare for the establishment of Liban Telecom and the launch of an international tender to manage and operate the mobile networks.
