SOUTH LEBANON — An Israeli drone fired two missiles at the Hariq neighborhood of Nabatieh Fawqa on Saturday morning, while Israeli warplanes struck the outskirts of Kfar Tibnit in the Nabatieh district. Israeli warplanes also fired two missiles at an area between Wadi Hujeir and Wadi Slouqi, but neither exploded.
Meanwhile, Israeli drones flew over Saida and its surroundings, as well as the Bekaa Valley along the Eastern Mountain Range.
At dawn, Israeli artillery shelled Wadi Slouqi toward Houla, Wadi Hujeir toward Qantara in the Marjayoun district, Mansouri and Wadi Zibqine in the Sour district, and the outskirts of Zawtar Sharqieh toward Mayfadoun in the Nabatieh district.
Overnight, Israeli artillery shelled Mansouri, Wadi Zibqine, Aita al-Jabal, Braasheet and Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as Mayfadoun and Kfar Tibnit in the Nabatieh district.
The Israeli army also fired machine guns toward Beit Yahoun in the Nabatieh district and other villages. Israeli vehicles were spotted moving in Beit Yahoun.
On Friday, the Israeli army carried out airstrikes on four villages in southern Lebanon, shelled nine villages with artillery and conducted two demolitions.
In a separate incident unrelated to the Israeli attacks, a vehicle belonging to UNIFIL’s Spanish battalion caught fire Saturday because of an electrical short circuit while a patrol was traveling along the Shanouh road near Kfar Shuba in the Hasbaya district.
Israeli attacks and demolitions continue across southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire reached in June, following three months of fighting between Hezbollah and Israel.
