The Hezbollah-Amal alliance has shown some flexibility in responding to Nawaf Salam’s ministerial requests, at least regarding some of his candidates. While the duo, particularly Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri continue to challenge Prime Minister-designate Salam, they took a modest step back on Friday by proposing new ministerial candidates more in line with Salam’s criteria for forming his government.However, there is no indication that the formation of Lebanon’s first cabinet under President Joseph Aoun’s term is imminent.
