DIPLOMACY
With a PhD in agricultural and food sciences from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Nizar Hani has been director of the Chouf Cedar Nature Reserve since 2010. He worked as an advisor to the Ministry of Environment between 2012 and 2020 and received a UNESCO award for his ecosystem preservation projects in Lebanon in 2013. He is part of the PSP quota and succeeds Abbas Hajj Hassan, affiliated with the Amal Movement.
