Israel continues deadly strikes on south Lebanon, carries out demolition in Bint Jbeil

The Israeli army continued its attacks on southern Lebanon from Sunday night into Monday, killing several people, including a member of the Amal Movement, and injuring dozens.

Airstrikes targeted, in the Nabatieh district, a house near al-Hikma hospital in the Sisters neighborhood of Nabatieh. Ahmad Mohammad Daya, a member of the Amal Movement, was killed and his son injured in an Israeli strike near a center of the Islamic Health Committee, affiliated with Hezbollah, in the village of Sir al-Gharbieh.

The Israeli army also targeted a home in Mayfadoun, as well as the village of Toul, the outskirts of Arnoun and Zawtar al-Sharqieh, a house near an Islamic Health Committee center (affiliated with Hezbollah) in Sir al-Gharbieh, and Nabatieh Fawqa, where a death and an injury were reported, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon.

Two Israeli raids struck Majdal Zoun and Byout Siyad (Sour) on Monday morning. Israeli artillery fires also targeted Bint Jbeil.

Three killed and several wounded by Israel in Bazourieh

In the Sour district, Israeli airstrikes hit at least five homes in Bazourieh, causing their destruction, fires, and the deaths of three members of the Damerji family, our correspondent reports.

According to the Health Ministry, the morning strikes on Bazourieh left 18 wounded, three of them in critical condition. Israeli artillery fire also targeted Mansouri, Qleileh, Haniyeh, and Ras al-Ain.

In the Bint Jbeil district, the towns of Kounin and Sultanieh were bombed. Israeli forces conducted demolition in the area between Aita al-Shaab and Hanine. In the Marjayoun district, automatic gunfire was reported in Khiam and near Debbine.

Mohammad Maaniyeh, head of Hezbollah's liaison and coordination unit in the south, died of his wounds after being injured in the strike on the Sayida Zahra complex in the city of Saida on April 8.

On Sunday, Israeli warplanes conducted strikes on 42 towns in the South, while drones targeted another seven. Twenty-five towns were also hit by artillery fire. Hezbollah, for its part, claimed responsibility for 43 attacks on Israeli towns, bases and military gatherings on Sunday.

The group claimed two nighttime attacks against Israel, saying it targeted Kiryat Shmona and Dovev in northern Israel with "barrages of rockets."

On Saturday morning, the party had targeted Metula and Israeli soldiers assembled in Shlomi.
