A mediation workshop organized by the AUF and the CPM of Saint Joseph University brought 50 students from the Arab world to Beirut to train them in the peaceful resolution of disputes.

Building bridges instead of walls and promoting lasting peace through dialogue and mediation — that was the mission entrusted to 50 university students who participated in the first regional mediation bootcamp, held May 20-21 in Beirut. The event was organized by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF Middle East) and the Center for Professional Mediation (CPM) at Saint Joseph University (USJ).Representing 20 universities across seven countries — Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan and Yemen — the students took part in two intensive days at the Francophone Employability Center of Beirut.
