Military prosecutor orders probe into armed men at ‘Bachir Gemayel Camp’
Lebanon’s military prosecutor has ordered an investigation into armed men who appeared alongside Kataeb MP Nadim Gemayel in photos he posted on social media last week.

The photos, posted by Gemayel on Sept. 1, show the MP with about 30 men, several carrying weapons and others wearing masks. Prosecutor Claude Ghanem requested Lebanese Army Intelligence and the Internal Security Forces (ISF) to identify those pictured and determine whether they were legally authorized to carry the weapons.The photos, which remain visible on Gemayel’s Facebook page, were taken at the “Bachir Gemayel Camp” in the mountainous outskirts of Tannourine, in the Batroun district, according to the accompanying caption.
