Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah received a delegation of Hamas officials led by the Hamas deputy head in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya.

According to a statement issued by the party, the two discussed "the latest developments on the ground in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and the multiple supporting fronts." They also discussed "the ongoing negotiations to put an end to the aggression against the Palestinian enclave and implement the conditions of resistance that are in the interest of the Palestinian cause and people."

This visit comes at a time when Hezbollah is active in almost daily fighting with Israel from southern Lebanon, in support of Hamas. Since Oct. 7, the Palestinian group and Israel have been engaged in a deadly war in Gaza, which, according to the Islamist movement, has claimed more than 30,000 lives in the Palestinian enclave.
