‘We are still waiting for our son to come back’: The plight of ‘boat people’ in Lebanon
Some 182 would-be migrants who departed from Lebanon died at sea in 2022, according to a well-informed lawyer familiar with the matter. A ceremony was held on Monday in Tripoli, North Lebanon, to mark the “International Day of CommemorAction” for people killed and missing on the migration routes.
