Israel-Iran war

Before dawn on June 13, Israel launched a wave of heavy bombardments, which it described as "preventive strikes," against Iran, killing much of its top brass and dozens of civilians and derailing U.S.-Iran nuclear talks. Iran responded with a wave of missile barrages, eluding Israel's defense systems and hitting sites in Tel Aviv and Haifa.
