At the heart of Lebanon's crisis is the lack of dialogue between President Joseph Aoun and Hezbollah. Since the Lebanese authorities rule out internal confrontation to disarm the party, and Israel has failed to impose its disarmament by force, Lebanon must find a solution that allows it to break the deadlock. Such a dialogue requires a mechanism capable of restoring trust and an approach that goes beyond the strictly military question.
