Three dynamics are currently worth watching in Lebanon, and all appear to be moving in the same direction. The first concerns Lebanon-Israel negotiations, alongside discussions over forming an international force to take over from UNIFIL. The second involves the numerous visits by U.S. Ambassador Michel Issa to Shiite figures, institutions, and areas, including southern Lebanon. The third concerns the probe into the Beirut port explosion, its next steps and the names of those who could face further legal action.These three issues are, in fact, closely interconnected.
