Israel announced Tuesday the creation of a new branch within its army, dedicated to "unmanned systems and artificial intelligence," a move that signals a growing role for various digital systems used by the Israeli military.“The future includes unmanned systems, robotics, drones and extensive use of artificial intelligence,” Israel’s Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, said on Tuesday." "Last week, I approved the establishment of a new arm in the Israeli army — the Unmanned Systems and Artificial Intelligence Arm, which will be responsible for this rapidly developing field," he added. These robots were reportedly also used in Israel’s war on Gaza, as well as in Lebanon.
