A shipment of fuel donated by Kuwait and destined for Electricité du Liban (EDL) power plants is expected to arrive within the next two weeks, a ministry source familiar with the matter told L’Orient-Le Jour on Sunday. "A second ship, which will carry the same quantity as that which Lebanon has committed to purchase at market price, will arrive later," the source added, without providing further details.The fuel is intended to ease the public electricity provider’s supply difficulties amid a global rise in oil prices triggered by the conflict launched last February by Washington and Tel Aviv against Tehran and its proxies.
