Throughout Yanick Sørensen's life, Lebanon has always existed in his mind somewhere between family memories and international press headlines. His impressions and emotions have thus been built in this in-between. Born in Denmark to a Danish mother and a Lebanese father who was forced to leave during the civil war, Sørensen grew up immersed in a Danish environment. He also spent weeks, sometimes months, with family members who remained in Lebanon.
