Unlike President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri did not attend the beatification ceremony of Patriarch Elias Hoayek held in Diman, the summer seat of the Maronite Patriarchate, on Saturday. His absence sparked widespread speculation about the reasons behind it.
