Armed with a knife and a firearm, a Lebanese man managed on Tuesday amid an ongoing war to cross Israeli-occupied villages in southern Lebanon and breach the border, before being killed by the Israeli army.Hamza Hammoud, from Markaba in the Marjayoun district, succeeded in infiltrating Israeli territory despite active fighting in the area and the Israeli army’s occupation of around 600 square kilometers of southern Lebanon that it has designated a “security zone,” after razing entire villages and driving out local populations.He was eventually spotted near the “Ramim Ridge,” close to the Israeli locality of Manara, opposite the Lebanese village of Houla, and was ultimately shot dead by Israeli soldiers.Was Hammoud part of Hezbollah?
