Dentist killed in Ablah: Four years on, psychiatrist cites Viagra-related effect

The case of Elie Jasser’s — the thirty-something year-old dentist who was stabbed to death in his clinic in Ablah (Zahle) by a former soldier identified as S.F. on Feb. 1, 2022 — is back in the judicial spotlight.The military court, presided over by Wassim Fayad, convened for a hearing during which a defense-appointed psychiatrist gave his testimony.He attributed the killing to S.F. ingesting a Viagra pill, a drug to treat erectile dysfunction, while he was on his way to the dental office.Before reaching the current bench presided over by Fayad, the case was first examined by the public prosecutor and the investigative judge, and then by the same military court, then headed by Khalil Jaber, who retired less than two years ago.
