Cut off from the rest of Lebanon, Dibil residents trapped between 'Hezbollah's anvil and Israel's hammer'
In this Christian community in the South, where 400 families still live and suffer from all kinds of shortages, the only road connecting them to the neighboring village of Rmeish has become too dangerous.

"We live to the sound of the fighting around us. We have no connection with the outside world anymore since the road that used to connect us to Rmeish has become impassable." On the other end of the line, the words of Gergi Rai, the mukhtar of Dibil, a Christian village near Bint Jbeil and just a few kilometers from the southern border, are unequivocal.Dibil is one of those villages in southern Lebanon whose residents refused repeated Israeli orders to evacuate to north of the Litani River, about 30 kilometers from the border.
