Qobbeih, Tripoli, North Lebanon. Civil Defense rescuers dig through the rubble to make their way inside. After more than 30 hours of relentless work, on Sunday morning, they are still searching for Elissar al-Mir, a 23-year-old nurse, missing under a block of two buildings that collapsed during the night from Friday to Saturday. The Mir family was at home. The father, Ahmad, 66, was killed. His wife, Amal, his daughter, Hadil, 18, and his son, Omar, 13, were pulled from the rubble. On Monday morning, Elissar, the eldest, was located, but as of now, her fate is still unknown.Authorities had asked residents to evacuate the building Friday afternoon, according to a municipal police officer on the scene and a neighbor.
