On Thursday, local authorities demolished a building in Beirut’s southern suburbs that had been damaged during the recent conflict between Israel and Hezbollah and was at risk of collapse. The building, located along the Hadi Nasrallah Highway, was showing visible cracks caused by Israeli airstrikes, according to Mohammad Dergham, head of the Union of Municipalities for Beirut’s southern suburbs.
