The Traffic Management Authority announced an update to its appointment booking system, allowing citizens to directly schedule appointments online starting at 10:00 a.m. on weekdays to complete their transactions in person at the main office in Dekwaneh, according to a statement released by the state-run National News Agency on Tuesday.
"The update eliminates the need for third-party authorization. Citizens can now book appointments themselves by selecting 'Execute Service' and attending in person to carry out their transactions at the Dekwaneh office," the statement explained.
The authority also reminded citizens that "Mondays are exclusively reserved for those wishing to handle their transactions independently." The administration stressed that "no transaction will be processed without a prior appointment made on the platform, when necessary."
In mid-2023, numerous arrest warrants were issued as part of a wide-ranging investigation into alleged corruption in vehicle registration centers.
Arrests were also made against employees at the authority who allegedly amassed huge sums through bribes.
