Between the LF and Ghassan Salameh, a stillborn controversy
Following remarks by the culture minister on Hezbollah's disarmament, Georges Adwan threatened that the Lebanese Forces would withdraw their confidence in the government.

Two months after its formation, Nawaf Salam's government faced its first serious political challenge on Wednesday. The Lebanese Forces, the largest Christian party in the Cabinet, represented by four ministers, threatened to withdraw their confidence in the government "if swift measures" were not taken against Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh.
