Following a two-day warning strike last week, several hundred contract teachers from the public sector gathered Monday morning in Beirut under the slogan "Monday of Anger," rallying outside the Ministry of Education and Higher Education headquarters. The protest was organized by unionist Nisrine Chahine and the committee of contract teachers in public basic education. Their key demands include structuring the contracts to ensure they receive their rights, particularly medical coverage, full transportation allowances and retirement benefits.
