Family of Lebanese Jew kidnapped in 1984 urges Israel to uncover his fate
Kidnapped during Lebanon's Civil War, the Jamous family is demanding Salim's return to Israel. He reportedly participated in Israeli intelligence operations in Lebanon during the 1970s and 1980s.

BEIRUT — The family of Salim Mourad Jamous, a Lebanese Jew kidnapped in Beirut on Aug. 15, 1984, has called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to use the ongoing cease-fire negotiations with Lebanon to secure information about his fate and bring him back to Israel.In a video aired by Israeli channel Kan 11 on Feb. 5, Moshe Jamous, son of Salim (also known as Shlomo), reflected on the disappearance of his father 41 years ago.
