According to this report, 6.3 percent of boys aged 13 to 17 regularly consume alcohol, more than girls of the same age. They also smoke more but have stronger mental health.

In a Lebanon shaken by major crises, adolescent habits related to nutrition and addictions are not a priority. However, a study conducted by Maha Hoteit, a doctor in nutritional sciences and coordinator of the Food Science Department at the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS), in collaboration with other researchers, shows that Lebanese adolescents aged 13 to 17 are exposed to alcohol and tobacco, and their dietary habits are concerning, regardless of their social background.Around 6.3 percent of boys aged 13 to 17 regularly consume alcohol, many stating they had their first drink before the age of 13.
