The American efforts to secure a cease-fire in Lebanon are intensifying alongside a deadly escalation in Israeli attacks on the country. "The United States has recently urged Lebanese officials to reach an agreement independent of the situation in Gaza," a Western diplomatic source told L'Orient Today, "This American decision was made to prevent Israel from continuing its escalation."
