In this new episode of "Testimonies from Beirut", we take a trip to a basketball court alongside a Lebanese professional player. A place he hadn't been back to for a month, because of the war with Israel.
"Because I'm afraid, I'm depressed, I'm destroyed, all my sources of income are at a standstill." After sending his family away from Beirut because of his son's traumatic experiences, he has regained some of his joy at the resumption of training with his team, and intends to ‘defend the cedar’ on the pitch, to restore hope to the country.
Every week, we talk to men, women and even children from all over Lebanon and beyond, to find out how the war has altered their daily lives. They tell us their fears and hopes. Personal and intimate stories, to be discovered every week on all our platforms.
