Following the 2006 war, the adversaries reached a discreet agreement termed as "rules of engagement," which recognized Hezbollah as a stabilizing force on Israel's northern border. It was therefore not a so-called balance of power ensured by weapons that guaranteed the security of southern Lebanon. However, driven by poor calculations, the party abandoned its role by opening the Gaza support front Oct. 8, 2023. A front whose objective was to focus a portion of Israel's destructive force on Lebanon. The objective was fulfilled, unfortunately, given the devastating catastrophe that has struck the country. Hezbollah intentionally knocked at the gates of hell, and the devil opened. For the second consecutive time, Lebanon was dragged into an uneven war, turning the country into a shooting range for an unrestrained Israeli air force....
