Caretaker Defense Minister Maurice Slim signed a decree appointing the 200 candidates who passed the entrance exams to the Military Academy as officer cadets of the army, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, the General Directorate of General Security, the General Directorate of State Security and the General Directorate of Customs, and forwarded it to the army command for the necessary procedures.
The minister signed a draft decree appointing 176 sergeants to the rank of lieutenant after they successfully completed the qualification course. The draft decree was forwarded to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
