Isn’t the US tired of being ignored by Israel?

While Lebanon was still trying to recover from what the press labeled the “pager attacks,” described by CIA Director Leon Panetta as "a form of terrorism”, Israel launched a massive bombardment across the country — from the south to Beirut and the Bekaa valley, and even further north, followed by a ground offensive still underway on Lebanese territory. These attacks have caused massive destruction and terrible civilian casualties, adding to a death toll that has risen to over 2,100 and more than 10,000 wounded after a year of conflict.
