The Amel International Association announced that one of its educational centers in Kfar Joz, in the Nabatieh region, was heavily damaged after Israeli strikes. This center is now "out of service," the association said in a statement. The damaged center was dedicated to psychological support and education activities for "more than 400 children." The text specified that "walls collapsed" and that educational materials were destroyed.

The association, which has 30 centers, mobile medical and educational units and works in several of the regions targeted by strikes, notably in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Bekaa and the south, denounced the "flagrant violation of several international laws." It cited "the 4th Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilians in Time of War and the Convention on the Rights of the Child."

Amel International added that it continues to work, through its mobile centers, to offer educational activities, health care and psychological support to displaced people.

The Nabatieh region has been heavily hit by Israeli aircraft since the launch of its expanded offensive on Sept. 23.
