At least six Lebanese people died in Turkey and Syria in Monday's earthquake, while at least three others were found alive under the rubble.

The massive earthquake killed more than 22,300 people, according to the latest estimates, in one of the region's deadliest disasters in a century.

The earthquake and its aftershocks were felt in Lebanon, raising fears among residents. A number of people in northern Lebanon's Tripoli fled their homes, causing traffic jams on the roads. Several buildings were damaged, but no casualties or injuries were reported.
