BEIRUT — "Put an end to your corruption so that our medicines are insured!" "Lifting subsidies on cancer drugs is a death sentence!" "Stop the massacre of adults suffering from cancer!"Responding to a call to protest by the NGO Barbara Nassar Association, dozens of demonstrators and patients shouted their anger in the street on Saturday in downtown Beirut's Riad al-Solh Square against the difficulty of accessing treatment. Forces of change MP Najat Saliba (Chouf) was also present.Since late 2019, patients have struggled to obtain vital drugs, which are often out of stock or prohibitively expensive.
