On Sunday, the Syrian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood issued a clear message in a statement through its opaque shura council that quickly made headlines: The group intends to "continue its activities" in Syria. "Building a stable Syria requires the participation of all its components in political life, within a pluralistic system based on the rule of law and political freedoms," the statement reads.
