Israeli airstrikes continue in southern Lebanon, hit Bani Hayan, Wadi Slouqi

SOUTH LEBANON — Israeli airstrikes continued in south Lebanon targeting Bani Hayan and Wadi Slouqi (Marjayoun) on Thursday morning, according to our correspondent in the South. Artillery fire also targeted the valley toward Shaqra (Bint Jbeil).

An Israeli Merkava tank shelled Mansouri (Sour) several times, while Israeli forces fired machine guns toward the outskirts of Braasheet (Bint Jbeil) and Beit Yahoun (Bint Jbeil). Israeli forces also carried out a large explosion in the vicinity of Bint Jbeil, according to our correspondent.

At around 5 a.m., Israeli forces carried out an explosion on the outskirts of Braasheet (Bint Jbeil). At around 6 a.m., Israeli forces fired machine guns toward the outskirts of Braasheet, while a Merkava tank shelled Mansouri several times.

Overnight attacks

Israeli attacks continued across southern Lebanon overnight. After 10 p.m. Wednesday, Israeli warplanes had already carried out an airstrike and artillery strikes in Wadi Slouqi. Around midnight, Israeli forces carried out several explosions targeting homes and buildings in Khiam (Marjayoun).

Israeli artillery also targeted a group of solar panels in the fields of Mayfadoun (Nabatieh), setting them on fire.

General Security reopens Shebaa center

The General Security Directorate reopened its center in Shebaa (Hasbaya) on Thursday, resuming normal operations and administrative services for residents of the town and surrounding areas, our correspondent reported.

Residents of Shebaa and surrounding areas will also exceptionally continue to be able to submit applications at the General Security centers in Rashaya and Hasbaya, the directorate said, citing security conditions and the need to facilitate access to services.

On Wednesday, General Security agency reopened its center in Nabatieh, serving residents of the city and its surrounding areas despite the strikes.
