On Thursday, Nabatieh investigative judge Fatima Majed issued an indictment against F.B., suspected of killing Deir Mimas Mayor Souheil Abou Jamra, and seriously injuring mokhtar Nicolas Sleiman on June 1. The judge found that the defendant, who was arrested on June 2, had committed intentional homicide. She determined that his state of intoxication at the time did not exempt him from criminal responsibility, given his history of violent behavior linked to regular alcohol consumption. The judicial decision has been referred to the Indictment Chamber, presided over by Mounif Barakat, which may, if appropriate, refer the case to the Nabatieh Criminal Court.
