Fire at a Telecoms warehouse in Dekwaneh: Speculation runs rife
The state-owned telecommunications provider Ogero has called on the public to refrain from spreading "unfounded allegations" regarding the ongoing investigation.

Speculation is mounting over the reason behind the fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon in a warehouse belonging to the Telecommunications Ministry in Dekwaneh, in the Metn district, where cables belonging to Ogero, the state-owned operator, amongst other things, were stored.Visiting the scene on Wednesday morning, Telecommunications Minister Charles Hajj stressed “the need for the investigation’s continuation to determine the reasons behind the fire and to take the necessary measures.”At the entrance to the site, two soldiers are standing guard. One of them believes it is difficult to determine whether a theft has taken place. “Everything has been destroyed.
