Bfaroueh, also known to its residents as Kfaroueh out of convenience or habit, is a predominantly Maronite village in the Nabatieh district. Perched at an altitude of 420 meters, its residents dream of living in peace off its agriculture, talents and diaspora, and of seeing its youth — who have left for Beirut or abroad amid successive conflicts since the 1975 Civil War — as often as possible.
