Israel does not care about regional and international efforts to halt the war: Salam

BEIRUT — Prime Minister Nawaf Salam accused Israel of disregarding regional and international efforts to end the war, in a post on his X account.

"While we welcomed the agreement between Iran and the United States and stepped up efforts to reach a cease-fire in Lebanon, Israel continues to expand its attacks, striking densely populated residential neighborhoods and killing unarmed civilians across the country, particularly in the capital, Beirut," he wrote.

Israel "does not care about the regional and international efforts to halt the war and flouting the principles of international law," Salam added, "which it has never respected in the first place."

Israel launched over 100 attacks on Lebanon in 10 minutes on Wednesday afternoon on Beirut, its southern suburbs, the South, and the Bekaa, causing hundreds of casualties, the Health Ministry announced in a preliminary toll.
