Hundreds of Lebanese and foreign journalists gathered around 5:30 p.m. at Martyrs' Square in Beirut to denounce Israel's killing of three colleagues on March 28. An Israeli drone strike on their car had killed Fatima Ftouni, her brother, cameraman Mohammad Ftouni, and Ali Choeib just a few hours earlier in Jezzine. The gathering also called on the government to respond forcefully to end this impunity.A stand had to be taken, despite the sense that history keeps repeating itself, to reject the normalization of the worst. Some carried candles, others held signs provided by the union.
