The Saudi Defense Ministry said Saturday morning that two ballistic missiles were intercepted and destroyed after being launched toward Prince Sultan Air Base, Reuters reported.

Earlier in the night, the ministry had already announced that Saudi forces had destroyed four drones in the south of the country, as well as a ballistic missile that was targeting the same base.

Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman on Saturday called on Iran to show "wisdom" and warned against "any miscalculation," as his country is targeted by Tehran's drones and missiles.

"We have emphasized that such actions jeopardize regional security and stability and have expressed the hope that the Iranian side will exercise wisdom and avoid any miscalculation," Prince Khalid bin Salman wrote on X following a meeting with Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir.
