The cease-fire that took effect on Nov. 27, 2024, did not mark the end of the war for many families in Lebanon. Some remain displaced, while others continue to endure repeated Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley. Among those still affected are the families of nine people abducted by Israeli forces on Lebanese territory after the truce.
More than a year later, the men — youth, fathers, a shepherd and two fishermen — are still languishing in Israeli prisons. L’Orient Today tells the story of these lives torn apart.
