BEIRUT — A major fire broke out in the Siniq industrial city in Ghazieh (Saida), according to our correspondent in south Lebanon. Civil Defense teams were dispatched to the scene to tackle the fire.
The fire started inside the Jabal Amel butcher shop, according to the state-run National News Agency (NNA). The cause of the blaze and the extent of the damage remain unknown.
In the night of Jan. 5 to 6, this area was hit by the Israeli army. A three-story building in the industrial city was destroyed, causing damage to several shops and neighboring buildings, as well as to vehicles and power cables.
